U-to-to

UnaiKanai

The title "Jewel" represents the "heart (soul)" of the Okinawan people, which has been carefully passed down to the present day through traditional performing arts such as song and dance, and through rituals. We listened to the thoughts and sounds of nature contained in the teachings, words, and traditional culture that have been handed down since ancient times in Okinawa, where we were born and raised, and were inspired to write these songs. We hope that you will be able to feel the charm of Okinawa and its precious "jewel" through our music.

Artist Profile

  • UnaiKanai

"Unai Kanai" is a sister unit from Yomitan Village. "Unai" means "sister" in Okinawa dialect, and "Kanai" means "to make dreams come true". They also hope that their songs will reach "Nirai Kanai" (across the sea). Their charm lies in their sister harmony, and they sing about nature, peace, and the state of mind with a natural sound that lets you feel the nature of Okinawa.
