cover graffiti art by inge from MOPETEN Crew

The idle masses, drunk on righteousness, hurt those they did not care about.
I knew someone had been hurt, because no one was more wounded than I was.
They had many allies. Because they were on the side of justice.

The idle masses, drunk on logic, hurt a justice they did not care about.
I heard that someone was hurt because of it.
But there was no flaw in their logic.
Surely they, too, had many allies. Because they were on the side of reason.

Yet in reality, there were almost none who stood with them.
At least, not in their own spheres of life.
Because they were artists.

I asked an old bandmate what he thought of all this.

"I don't really get what you mean, but good luck!"

That was her reply.

And honestly, I thought it was wonderful.

All around the world, people have etched their lives and identities into their skin through tattoos.
This song is my Digital Tattoo, my way of inscribing the year 2024, when Tanakajiken chose to live as a merciless syura, into the world forever, and into myself.

I want you to feel the despair that lies behind the sound of the gut guitar and the distorted scream.
