Gateway to the World

This song was created through a collaboration between Narita International Airport and local singer-songwriter Yunami.

Since opening in 1978, Narita International Airport has embarked on its most significant undertaking to date: the "Narita Airport Second Opening Project." Through developments such as a new runway, the airport's total area is set to roughly double, and its annual flight capacity is projected to reach 500,000 movements-approximately twice the volume recorded in fiscal year 2024. While the airport continues to expand and become increasingly convenient, we produced this song with the vision that it will stand as a "gateway to the world" for so many people.

We also incorporated real-life stories into the lyrics, drawn from interviews with local residents and the people who work at the airport. The area surrounding Narita International Airport coexists with lush nature; it is a place of expansive skies, tranquil scenery, and thriving agriculture. We hope this song invites you to experience the unique charm and atmosphere of life in the communities surrounding the airport.
