伏見の春を 歩いた午後
寺田屋近く 橋を渡って
川辺へ降りれば 桜の道
思い思いの 歩幅のままで
絵を描く人を のぞいてみたり
楽器の音に 足を止めたり
風が吹くたび 空いっぱいに
桜の花びら 舞い降りてくる
名前も知らない 橋まで来て
三人並んで 川を見ていた
薄紅色の 水面を埋めた
無数の花びら 揺れていた
その花びらの 膜を切り裂き
十石舟が 進んでくる
「こんど舟から 見たいな」なんて
何気なく言った あの日の午後
小さな約束 残したままで
桜は何度 咲いただろう
写真を撮って 景色を眺め
それぞれ好きな 春を歩いた
少し離れて また近づいて
いつもの三人 川辺をゆく
過ぎてしまえば 何でもない日
なのに今でも 覚えている
あの日見送った 小さな舟と
降りやまなかった 桜吹雪
時が流れて 初めて知った
三つの道が 出会う橋だと
名前も知らず 渡った僕ら
あの日の春に また出会う
であい橋から 見ていた舟を
こんどは三人 迎えにゆこう
橋から見ていた あの日とは逆に
こんどは舟から 桜を見よう
散ってゆく花 流れる水も
二度とは同じ 春にはならない
それでも三人 見上げた桜
今でも胸に 舞い続ける
三つの道が 出会うその場所で
僕らもひとつの 春を過ごした
約束なんて 呼ぶほどじゃない
それでもまだ 続きがある

こんどは三人 舟でゆこう

こんどは川から 見上げてみよう
桜吹雪が 舞い降りるころ
二人の隣で 笑って言おう
ずいぶん時間が かかったけれど
「やっと来れたなあ」
