This is a concept album of 12 songs by Ring Ring Lonely Rollss.
It is a Japanese rock opera that tells the story of human birth and death in a semi-autobiographical and imaginative way, interweaving the changes of the four seasons into a magnificent epic.
After the songs end, as if leaving irrevocable and loving footprints, and after experiencing life together, what will fill your heart, sadness or joy?
Tokyo Japan Ring Ring Lonely Rollss was formed in 2015 by Motoki Osaka on vocals and guitar and Chika Mori on piano and backing vocals. The lineup was later completed by guitarist Kenji Urano who lived nearby and bassist Yuta Yamamura a longtime friend of the band. Their music blends a wide range of influences without being tied to any single genre. Driven by lyrics that awaken long forgotten memories their songs reach deep into the emotional core of the listener. After releasing their debut album Chemical in 2016 the band became fully independent. Their second album I'm glad I was born released in 2021 caught the attention of filmmaker Daigo Matsui. This led to Slow Time being written as the theme song for his film The Hand. The song was later included on the mini album A 1000 Dreams released in 2022. In 2025 the band released their third album But beautiful world. The album was praised by well known musicians and film directors while earning a deeply devoted following among listeners. They have established a unique reputation as the band that may not appear on many favorite artist lists yet is often named as the one artist that means the most. Their live performances are known for their overwhelming sense of joy and emotional connection. While keeping a distance from the mainstream music scene they have built a passionate community around their music. Belonging to no particular scene Ring Ring Lonely Rollss continues to carve out a singular path and remains one of the most distinctive independent bands in Japan.
