The band OLIVES has many characteristics, such as a unique beautiful voice, original and sometimes destructive developments, and avant-garde yet somehow nostalgic melodies. Most of the songs aren't upbeat, but they have an excellent sense of melody and are rather catchy. Vocalist Osamu Hashida, who is in charge of songwriting, is influenced by GRAPEVINE and Mr.Children, and his work strongly reflects elements of UK alternative music such as Radiohead and U2.
