Marking the 15th track in the 'biotope' album series is 'cloud and twilight'. Following the previous work 'eternal lands', we continue to challenge vocal music as a single, and this time, not only the main melody but all parts are sung by Sarkoo.
In an era where concepts like 'VUCA' are commonly consumed, standing before this complex society ignites an arrogant curiosity to unravel everything. Yet, this curiosity comes at a cost of continual great anxiety, convincing oneself that overcoming this fear is the way to survive in this society.
Simultaneously, climate change steadily approaches, wars are waged, and the media amplifies these events like a megaphone. In this scenario, there is only madness and destruction, and the 'highly efficient' society seems to serve no purpose.
However, stepping away from the 'city', where these discourses are condensed, and entering the mountains, there lies silence and darkness. As if oblivious to the urban chaos, the natural cycle of rain, snow, wind, brooks, thunderclouds, and sunsets quietly continues.
When people encounter both these worlds, they inevitably come to a simple conclusion: to move forward sincerely, using their knowledge, experience, and available tools.
How many more generations can continue this seemingly eternal cycle of life? Perhaps all we can do is believe in humanity's 'healing power' and watch over the practices of the next generation. There should never be coercion or deceit due to convictions; believing in freedom and kindness seems to be the only option left.
'cloud and twilight' is the 15th composition, created while contemplating the modern world against the backdrop of the sky we look up to and our future beneath it. It would be our greatest joy if many people come to cherish this piece.
