  • Ayumi Ueda

Born and raised in Tokyo, Ayumi Ueda began singing at the age of four. Influenced by singing with her father, she became fascinated with music such as folk, country, and ethnic music, and decided to pursue music as a career. In January 2007, she enrolled in Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. While at Berklee, she created her first large scale music project, Women of the World, as a path by which to connect her love of music and culture with her strong determination toward world peace and understanding. During this time, she also received a huge response from her fusion of crystal singing bowls and traditional Japanese music as a form of music therapy. Ayumi graduated from Berklee College of Music in May 2010 with a degree in Professional Music emphasizing performance, world music research, and music therapy. As a solo artist, leader of the Women of the World, and a sound and Reiki Healer, Ayumi continues to work both in USA and Japan as a multi-talented spiritual artist.
