Summer's end, captured in a bittersweet coming-of-age love song.
"Sunflower Road Home" tells the story of a first love that bloomed in summer and slowly became a memory.
A July hillside, walking a bicycle home together, a cold bottle of soda, a summer festival, and sunflowers swaying in the breeze.
Back then, even the detours we took because we didn't want to say goodbye felt as though they might last forever. So did the warmth of the first hand we ever held.
But perhaps the moment we finally said "I like you" was also the moment our farewell had quietly begun.
Even now, years later, summer still brings those memories back. This song wraps the ache of a love that can never return, yet never truly disappears, in a warm and slightly wistful acoustic-pop sound.
Following the July release "The Wind Crosses the Sea," this is the second summer song of 2026.
From the brilliant blue sea of midsummer to the golden light of summer's end.
Set in the same seaside town, this time the story follows the memories of a love that still lingers along the road home.
