"Don't decide who I was for me. Just remember me sometimes."
"End Roll Girl" asks how a person should be remembered when the final credits begin to roll, while rejecting the idea that a life can be reduced to a simple label.
Kind, strong, admirable, or brave. None of these words can contain a whole person. The days we cried, the moments we ran away, the afternoons filled with laughter, and even the pointless arguments are all part of the same unfinished life.
The song does not ask for tears or a beautiful retelling of the past. It simply hopes that, somewhere among the changing seasons, someone might smile and say, "Remember that time?" Bittersweet yet light on its feet, "End Roll Girl" is a song about being remembered without being defined, and about wishing for someone else's ordinary days to continue even after the credits have ended.
