Good-bye

THINGS
THINGS will release a new single, "As You Like It", on October 11, 2024.
In 2024, THINGS performed at events such as CHIMERA GAMES and the Sagami-Ono Monje Festival, and they are set to appear at Music Lane Okinawa in 2025, further expanding their activities. This much-anticipated new release marks the band's first new work in about a year.
The single was co-produced with dancer Asako, with whom they collaborated in February 2024 for a performance at the event WEFUNK. From the demo production stage, THINGS and Asako exchanged ideas to create the song from scratch, focusing on harmonizing the musical expression THINGS sought to convey with the worldview Asako aimed to portray through dance. The recording and mixing were handled by Keisuke Mukai, mastering by Moe Kazama, and the artwork by Lina Ichimiya.
The song's lyrics depict the lingering regrets and inner struggles of a protagonist unable to fully accept reality, told with a slightly self-deprecating perspective. The sound arrangement evokes a sense of nostalgia, blending elements of soul, funk, and city pop, while the vocal performance stands out with a balance of passion and sweetness.
To commemorate the release, a live event will be held at Amazon Music Studio Tokyo on November 9, 2024.
