2015年12月結成。シューゲイザーサウンドを基調とし、花・植物・自然風景を題材にした風景画のような音世界が特徴。 2017年ブラジルのインディレーベルTBTCI Recordsよりslowdive公認トリビュートに参加をし、Shineをカバー。このリリースにより、海外のマニアたちからも注目されはじめる。 2018年高円寺HIGHで毎月開催しているシューゲイザーイベント「Total Feedback」の10周年を記念したコンピレーションアルバム「Total Feedback 2018」に参加。更に「cruyff in the bedroom」、ZEPPET STORE中村雄一氏のソロプロジェクト「LUCY’S DRIVE」と共に台北でライブを行なった。 2020年11月、イギリス国営放送BBCラジオ番組のシューゲイザー発祥30周年記念番組内で日本のシューゲイザーバンドとしてplant cellの曲が放送される。
