A charismatic bassist has joined a bass-less band!
The new bass groove creates a new frontier of dance-rock music.
The collaboration EP with KenKen, the bassist from "RIZE", the essential band of the Japanese mixture rock scene that restarted its activities after years of hiatus in 2023, has been completed!
Last year, we shared the stage with Kenken at the "FMX Showcase" during the event of "CHIMERA GAMES", Japan's largest entertainment festival.
We expressed the excitement and worldview of this moment through extreme rock music in the song "Higher feat KenKen" released on May 10th.
In the other songs of this EP, we incorporated KenKen's bass giving groovy and heavy elements on songs released in the past, resulting in an EP innovative and exudes a dynamism unlike anything before.

The Game Shop
[THE GAME SHOP] THE GAME SHOP is a Japanese Electro Rock band formed in 2008. Their music is a mix of rock and bass music with other music genres. The band is becoming very active overseas and has already performed in several countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand or New Caledonia. Through those experiences, they developed a taste for varied music from all over the world and are influenced by indies musical performances of club and rock music scene. Moreover, the band receive the support of a wide range of layer. Furthermore, a DJ SET version of the band is available. This allow them to perform on different stages such as live house, club and open-air festivals. In 2020, THE GAME SHOP is starting to perform for the first time in Europe

1985年東京都下北沢生まれ。RIZE、Dragon Ash、LIFE IS GROOVE、WAGDUG FUTURISTIC UNITY、the day、獄門島一家といった数々のバンドに参加しているほか、さまざまなアーティストのサポートを務め、強烈な存在感とエネルギッシュなベースプレイで支持されている。バンド活動と並行してベース教則アプリ「KenKenが教えるベースギター #1」をリリースしたり、資生堂「uno」やNTTドコモのCM音楽を制作。J- WAVE「AVALON」のパーソナリティを務めるなど活動は多岐にわたる。一方で「週刊 ファミ通」で連載コラムページを6年間にわたって持つなど筋金入りのゲーマーとしても知られる。
