A charismatic bassist has joined a bass-less band!

The new bass groove creates a new frontier of dance-rock music.
The collaboration EP with KenKen, the bassist from "RIZE", the essential band of the Japanese mixture rock scene that restarted its activities after years of hiatus in 2023, has been completed!
Last year, we shared the stage with Kenken at the "FMX Showcase" during the event of "CHIMERA GAMES", Japan's largest entertainment festival.
We expressed the excitement and worldview of this moment through extreme rock music in the song "Higher feat KenKen" released on May 10th.
In the other songs of this EP, we incorporated KenKen's bass giving groovy and heavy elements on songs released in the past, resulting in an EP innovative and exudes a dynamism unlike anything before.

    Formed in 2008 by Kimito and McD, who grew up together in the same hometown, THE GAME SHOP is a boundary-pushing electro-rock hybrid that flawlessly bridges the gap between Rock and Bass Music. Born out of a desire to fuse the raw, aggressive energy of live band performances with the heavy, floor-shaking grooves of club music, they have established themselves as a unique force in the global music scene. They seamlessly transition between delivering explosive, raw power in their "Full-Band Set" and heavy, dancefloor-ready vibes in their "DJ Set." This adaptability allows them to dominate any stage, from massive rock festivals to underground bass music clubs. Their high-energy live shows have conquered stages worldwide. Over the years, they have embarked on successful tours across Asia, including Taiwan, and made a major festival appearance in New Caledonia. In Europe, they delivered an unforgettable performance at the Schmoul Festival in France. Most recently, they executed an acclaimed showcase at SXSW 2026 in the US, perfectly proving that their sound deeply resonates with audiences across borders. At home in Japan, they have rocked major domestic festivals such as SUMMER SONIC. Their world-class sound and stage presence have earned them opportunities to share stages with international heavyweights of the electronic rock and bass music scenes, including Pendulum, The Qemists, and Modestep. Earning high praise from overseas curators, THE GAME SHOP signed with the Italian label "Mhodi Music Company" in 2020. Since 2025, the band has made a deliberate return to their roots, operating fully independent. Armed with absolute creative freedom, they are pushing their sonic boundaries further than ever before. Currently equipped with an arsenal of unreleased new tracks that push the fusion of rock and drum & bass to its absolute limits, THE GAME SHOP is gearing up to bring their electrifying sound back to the global stage.
