The third installment of LAE's three-month consecutive digital release series has arrived.
While the first and second releases showcased the band's signature high-tempo, danceable funk tunes, this new track reveals a different side of LAE's artistry.
With a more gospel-inspired, deeply soulful sound, the song transcends simple genre crossover. It radiates LAE's unwavering respect for the roots music that has always shaped their creative core.
From the vocals and arrangement to the intricate chorus work and the nuance of each instrumental line, every element carries a sense of "returning to the source," forming a uniquely spiritual sonic landscape only LAE can deliver.
As the finale to their three-month release series, this track stands as a testament to the band's wide-ranging musicality and expressive depth.
When heard alongside the previous releases, the full scope of LAE's sonic journey comes into sharper, more vivid focus.
The group is a Pop Funk band consisting of Shiroma (Gt) from a remote island in Okinawa, Ryo (Dr) from Toyama, and Kento (Key) from Tokyo. With deep respect for roots music, they boldly challenge the contemporary music scene. Ryo's compositions-shaped by a childhood in snowy northern cities and a deep passion for funk and soul-intertwine with Shiroma's free-spirited yet nostalgic lyrics, born from life on a small island in Okinawa. Together, they express the band's energy and spirit in full force. Kento's sophisticated, urban-style chorus work further elevates their sound, completing a groove that is both modern and deeply rooted.
