ER QUAN YING YUE (The Moon Reflected in the Sky), written by blind composer Abing, has long been known as a representative piece of the erhu. The title is said to come from the image of the moon reflected in a spring in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province (the second most delicious spring in the world, the Second Spring in the World). The background of the song is said to be a representation of Abing's own hardships in life. Please enjoy the completely new Erquan eiyue (The Moon Reflected in the Sky), with the unique combination of two Shaoqins (improved erhu), guitar, and cello, and the Western-style harmonies arranged by Hajato Hieda that bring out the charm of string instruments to the fullest.
