With a succession of past releases reaching No. 1 and ranking in the Top 10 on the iTunes genre charts in Japan, Ayano Tachihara now returns with her highly anticipated new track, "kokoro ni kaze" (A Breeze Through the Heart). Capturing the beautiful, fleeting moment of a breeze that suddenly begins to blow out of nowhere, the song translates that presence directly into sound. For five years, it has been performed exclusively at her live shows, consistently delivering a sense of pure, refreshing comfort to listeners.

Recorded in a small forest-a place where her music and daily life are nurtured in harmony with nature-the track was captured using a minimalist approach with just three microphones. Through a collaboration between Ayano Tachihara herself and recording engineer Masahiro Iwai, they pursued the unique timbre of this song, even using solid wood cut directly from the forest. Creating the resonance with their own hands became a vital element of the work. Furthermore, with mixing by Andy Bevan and mastering by Seigen Ono, the pure resonance of the original sound, the subtle fluctuations in the air, and the delicate nuances of the forest atmosphere have been faithfully preserved-elevating her voice and custom-crafted piano tuned to 436 Hz into a richer, more beautiful sonic space.

Despite the minimal arrangement of just vocals and piano, the elements blend so naturally that listeners may forget it is a solo singer-songwriter performance. With a melody that evokes nostalgia and remains etched in memory, alongside symbolic lyrics voiced just once within the song, it leaves a profound, lingering resonance deep within.

    Ayano Tachihara Vocal Artist / Composer Since childhood, Ayano Tachihara has cherished the melodies that resonate within the stillness of her soul. Living amidst the lush forests of Karuizawa, Shinshu, she has spent fifteen years listening to the breath of the forest, nurturing her musical expression through a life lived in harmony with nature. In 2019, she began performing her original compositions, often incorporating improvisation. Driven by the conviction that "the resonance of the moment is the purest form of music," she focused exclusively on live performance, as if waiting for the perfect moment to ripen. To preserve these vibrations, she eventually invited world-renowned recording engineer Seigen Ono to her creative base to embark on her first recording. Her music, characterized by a voice that blends crystalline delicacy with profound, dignified strength and tranquil piano melodies, supplely aligns the atmosphere of a space while lighting a warm glow in the hearts of listeners. At the onset of Spring 2026, she finally releases her first digital recording, The Call (Izanai). This pure first cry, echoing from amidst the winter snow, travels across the world to bring a small light of spring. Her true journey has finally begun.
