Kiso Conspiracy, Treason, and Grinding Teeth: Hisatsugu's Lamentations, Due to the Beheading of Kazuma, Yamashiro Province

Synopsis
This story depicts the tragedy of Hisatsugu's (Toyotomi Hidetsugu) camp, which is on the brink of ruin after being branded "beast" through a conspiracy.

Amidst the intense family feud and power struggle, his vassal Kazuma sacrifices his own life to protect Hisatsugu, but is killed instead. Okaya Lady, who sacrifices herself for the sake of her son and lord, accepts the fate and goes to her death without looking back, acknowledging that she has "tarnished the name of beast."

Responsibility for the Loss of the Imperial Edict and Hisayoshi's Compassion (Giving the Slave His Old Clothes)
In this important scene, Kazuma, who is about to commit seppuku for taking responsibility for the theft of the imperial edict, is stopped by Hisayoshi (modeled after Hideyoshi) and given "the slave's old clothes from the time of Kinoshita Hyokichi," a symbol of his own success, to inspire him.
