"Snow Town" from "Beloved Songs," a collection of 10 fairy tales for female and unison choruses. Lyrics by Yanase Takashi, music by Kinoshita Makiko. This is the sixth song in a collection of songs for female choruses, in which Yanase Takashi's beautiful poems are arranged for two-part chorus by Kinoshita Makiko.
Kinoshita Makiko said that the dramatic melody, which changes key in one go from E minor to G major and then back to E major, was inspired by an experience she had as a child on a snowy day near Arisugawa Park in Minato Ward.
