SXCHUN
A guitarist and composer based in Japan. Drawing from roots in R&B, jazz, electronic music, and kayōkyoku (Japanese pop), he explores musical expression that moves freely across genre boundaries. Centering his work around guitar and synthesizers, he creates music that transforms experimental and avant-garde sounds into a pop sensibility, while placing strong emphasis on melodic songwriting. He began his musical career in 2010. As a guitarist, he has performed with numerous bands and projects, including those led by Sammy Adjei. He also has experience performing as a bassist and drummer. Currently active mainly through his solo project and support work. In addition to music production, he also creates his own jacket artwork, pursuing a form of expression that crosses between sound and visual art.
