Lyric

Say that again

Hori Katsura

Say that again?

Could you say that again?

I remember the time, I tried to keep you in my mind

Move back where, you wait for me there

I always run and run

Through the past and stare you from the gap

It may just be that

I still believe I’m something else for you

The song is the only way to be honest

Too silent, when we chat few minutes

Why oh why oh why?

Become less talkative, I create your illusion

From all what I lack is such a kind of love

With a strong liquor, need to drink that

Seek your shade of the days all gone

Waves come again, there’s a lot to gain

I remember the time with you

The sky’s so blue with full of hope

Way back when, before we met

I always cry and cry, shut inside, and say

"Today would be the same"

In such difference

I still behave as weird in front of you

The song is the only way to be honest

Too intense, when we stay few minutes

Why oh why oh why?

I tried to steal your life to think I’m not alone

Before I know you well

And you don’t know me, too

With a ‘Sixpence None the Richer’

“Lead me out on the moonlit floor”

Why why why…?

Is it just me or?

I think you know that

I still believe I’m something else for you

The song is the only way to be honest

Too silent, when we chat few minutes

Why oh why oh why?

Become less talkative, I create your illusion

From all what I lack is such a kind of love

With a strong liquor, need to drink that

Seek your shade of the days all gone

With a strong liquor, so required

To make you smile in the days undone

    Hori Katsura

Singer-songwriter Katsura Hori officially launches her solo project with the release of her first original EP, My anthology. The project has already garnered significant anticipation, successfully reaching 117% of its goal through a pre-release crowdfunding campaign.

Rooted in R&B, Soul, Jazz, Country and Rock, this work seamlessly blends contemporary alternative pop elements. By delivering "uniquely Japanese, modest, and delicate emotions" through rhythmic English lyrics, Hori achieves a sophisticated balance between infectious grooves and deep emotional resonance.

The EP is produced by Manabu Imada, a singer-songwriter featured on the compilation album City Music Tokyo interchange (curated by Kunimondo Takiguchi of Ryusenkei) and an award-winning artist in various music competitions. The arrangements, synthesizers, and piano feature Hiroaki Idaka, the pianist of the world-renowned salsa band Orquesta De La Luz. The studio lineup is rounded out by a formidable group of internationally active musicians, including Yosuke Fujiwara (Gt), toyo (Ba), and aine fujioka (Dr).

Following her 2018 cover album Leave Love Behind and her activities with the acoustic unit futarinote, this release marks a definitive return to her solo career- a true "anthology" that reflects her musical evolution.

  • Hori Katsura

Hori Katsura is a japanese singer & songwriter based in Kyoto, expressing emotion with rhythmic clarity in both English and Japanese. The music is rooted in soul, R&B, and alternative pop. She began her music career while attending university. She served as vocalist and English lyricist for the original band Mocafee. At the same time, she gained extensive live experience through cover bands and regular performances as a singer at a long-established club in Gion, Kyoto. In the spring of 2017, she held a series of jazz-focused live performances in a piano duo format at Kusatsu Music Forest International Concert Hall. That same year, she performed on the main stage of nana Fes 2017, organized by the music app nana (nana music Inc.), in front of an audience of approximately 1,500 people. In 2018, she released her first cover album, Leave Love Behind, under her own name. The album was distributed nationwide in Japan through Disk Union. In 2019, she formed the acoustic unit futarinote and returned to songwriting. The song Twilight Dew, for which she wrote both lyrics and music in Japanese, won the Grand Prize and the Hyogo Prefectural Governor's Award at the 13th LALALA Nishikita Musician Contest. The unit released four original albums and attracted attention in the audio community, including selection for sampler CDs and interviews featured in Quarterly Audio Accessories published by Ongen Publishing. At the end of 2025, she re-launched her solo project. She released her first comeback single, Could I be. A crowdfunding campaign for her upcoming EP on the platform Ubgoe reached 117% of its goal. She is currently releasing new singles from the EP and continues to expand her activities
