A concept EP from Emo Station that lays the very heart of his music bare.
The "M" in the title refers to the first person he ever loved from the bottom of his heart back in high school-the one who gave him his initial creative impulse, whose presence he still carries to this day.

The lyrics for all four tracks were written over six years ago, immediately following his breakup with M-raw fragments of a stinging memory. Once released under different titles under the moniker "M boy," serving as the very origin of his creative journey, these songs have now traveled across six years to be completely remade and reconsidered through the lens of Emo Station's matured modern soundscapes.

From "Crocus," blooming amidst the chill of early spring, to "High School," echoing the clatter under the train tracks and station platforms. From "Christmas Chronicle," blending the taste of espresso at Shinagawa Station with room memories, to the finale "If We Break Up," issuing a devastating departure born from ego and prayer.

This is no mere glorification of the past. It is a ritual where the present "Emo Station" coolly yet gently embraces and lays to rest the ghost of "M boy," who once burned so fiercely with teenage impulse. A mental log of reconsideration, proving how to live through today while carrying the scar of heartbreak as an eternal piece of who he is.

  • Emo Station

    Emo Station is an artist and producer based in Yokohama, Japan. Moving across Hyperpop, Emo Rap, Glitchcore, Ambient, Electronic, and other genres, Emo Station works in a fully DIY style, handling lyrics, composition, beat production, recording, mixing, and mastering independently. The work begins with things actually observed and experienced in everyday life: memory, distance, solitude, trust, the body, life and death, and emotions that cannot always be fully translated into words. Rather than reducing these experiences to a single conclusion, Emo Station preserves them in music as they appeared and felt at a particular moment. Fluctuation is one important element of this approach. Instead of forcing things into black or white, the work often explores what exists in between, as well as feelings and perceptions that continue to change over time. After developing schizophrenia in 2021 and later experiencing periods of hospitalization, Emo Station continued to rebuild and expand a creative practice. These experiences remain part of the background of the work, but they do not define the entire story. Ordinary days, small observations, humor, and seemingly insignificant moments are treated with the same importance. Beyond music, Emo Station also works across different forms of expression, including the AI-assisted music project Misery, the fashion brand forM, and independently developed games. For Emo Station, art is not necessarily a way to provide answers. It is a way to document what was there at a particular moment. The work continues to change, while remaining grounded in one principle: being honest with one's own perception.
