R&B singer aimi is set to release her latest single, 'Is it a crime?', on Wednesday, July 9. This soulful, dreamy mid-tempo track is sung entirely in English and captures the lingering feelings for a former lover; a devotion that persists even after the relationship has ended. The song is produced by Modesty Beats.

With raw lines like 'For you, I leave my place, my last name' and 'if you ain't loving me back, then kill me now,' the lyrics portray a dangerously pure kind of love, blending heartbreaking vulnerability with the contradictions of being human.

Following last month's release of aimi SUMMER REMIXES; a collection of four summer-ready remixes by grooveman Spot, T.O.M, and others, inspired by 90s R&B and amapiano; this new single shifts into a more introspective and emotional soundscape.
