Prayers & Melodies (Forest Recording)

Rie fu

騒がしい日々 ここに置いてく

流れに背いて 足を速める

私の正体人ごみに隠す

あと少しでこの街も消える

あしたになれば分かる

そんなこと考えていた

There is nothing for me to say

Even if I do, you'll still be far away

So I say a little prayer

そこに残ってた昔の香り

流れにまかせ 想いは穏やかに

君の正体 少しずつめぐる

今ここに居ること すぐに伝えたい

あしたになれば分かる

そんなこと考えていた

There is nothing for me to say

Even if I do, you'll still be far away

So I say a little prayer

Oh I feel so fine

Even if I fly at the speed of light

それでもきっと私たちは

前へ進むしかない

あしたになれば分かる

そんなこと考えていた

There is nothing for me to say

Even if I do, you'll still be far away

So I say a little prayer

When I wake up tomorrow morning

When I wake up tomorrow morning

When I wake up tomorrow morning my doubts are gonna be still there

But something's new

Rie fu's Debut Reimagined - 20 Years in the Making
Released in 2005, Rie fu's self-titled debut album introduced songs like "Life is Like a Boat" and "decay"-tracks that became close confidants for listeners, soundtracking turning points in their lives.
Now, two decades later, this milestone returns as a special compilation, weaving intimate unplugged recordings and live versions from her Asia tour and London and Tokyo studio sessions.
The luminous pop sensibility of the original remains intact, yet time has infused these songs with a new depth and warmth. Stripped-back acoustic arrangements shine a light on her clear, resonant voice, while live versions-honed across Asia and the UK, capture the breath of travel and the connection between the artist, local musicians, and the audience.
Rie fu's music has always carried a quiet universality, unbound by fleeting trends. Everyday emotions, memories of journeys, and the milestones of change and evolution-her bilingual lyrics intertwine these fragments of life, naturally aligning with each listener's own story. Over twenty years, she herself has grown and evolved, and this special edition is where that journey resonates most vividly.
For those who have followed her since the beginning, the album reflects not only nostalgia but also the passage of their own twenty years. For new listeners, it offers a chance to encounter the timeless starting point of a singer-songwriter whose voice transcends eras.
Neither a simple reissue nor a self-cover, this is something more: proof that music continues to walk alongside life-a gift from Rie fu that bridges past and present.
