"GENDAI FUUFU" a band formed by two married couples, releases their debut album GUNZO - a body of work rooted in rock, infused with shades of jazz and classical music, and alive with human warmth.
Songwriter and composer eri-nyo draws inspiration from the worlds of Japanese literature and poetry - from authors like Mieko Kawakami, Misumi Kubo, Fuminori Nakamura, and others- translating their emotional landscapes into sound.
A husky yet charming voice slips between pain and tenderness.
The piano breathes, the bass trembles the air, the guitar fades like memory,and the drums give everything a heartbeat.
Rooted in rock yet shaped by the tension of modern jazz and classical forms,the sound reveals new contours with every listen.
None of these songs are light.
Yet what lingers after listening is a quiet heat -dense, but somehow transparent.

GENDAI FUUFU
A band consisting of two married couples. Formed in 2024 by eri-nyo, who is in charge of lyrics, composition, keyboards, and vocals for CUICUI and IIOT. The members are eri-nyo, eri-nyo's husband Yuichi Ishikawa/guitar (ANIMA, IIOT) , miduho/drums (Response,CUICUI) , and her husband Ryosuke/bass (THE FLAMES). By performing songs that incorporate jazz and classical elements with members from rock and pop backgrounds, they have sublimated them into a unique, modern sound.
