ANEMONÉ

ANEMONÉ Unveils "mugicha" a New Song Capturing Another Side of Summer Following "hanabi". ANEMONÉ is a pop collective weaving "Bitter-sweet, pops" bringing together a diverse range of creators with each release. In July, the collective teamed up with THE CHARM PARK for "hanabi" a new summer anthem inspired by the fleeting beauty of fireworks. Their latest release, "mugicha" turns once again to summer-this time capturing the season from a different, more intimate perspective.
The song was written and composed by 4s4ki (pronounced "Asaki"), a pioneering artist in Japan's alternative and hyperpop scene, with production by maeshima soshi, her longtime collaborator behind many of her works. At the heart of the song is mugicha-Japanese barley tea, a familiar symbol of summer in Japan-which becomes a trigger for memories and a quiet sense of longing that lives within us all.
A glass of cold barley tea waiting in the refrigerator. An ordinary scene from everyday life. The kindness and love we only come to recognize once we grow older. As we move through life carrying our own struggles and inner conflicts, perhaps it is these warm memories from childhood that unexpectedly return to gently soften our hearts.
Over maeshima soshi's simple yet lyrical production, 4s4ki-internationally acclaimed for her distinctive lyricism-paints a deeply nostalgic story, while MioN's voice brings the emotions within it to life with striking clarity and purity.
Together, they become a glass of "mugicha" poured into the vessel that is ANEMONÉ.
