This track marks the fourth and final installment of a four-week consecutive single release series, building anticipation for the EP scheduled to arrive the following week. The title is "The Waiting Time at Crosswalks in Tokyo Is Long."
At first glance, the title may sound somewhat humorous, but the song actually captures the serious emotions of Scizor a.k.a. EnTai.
It expresses the gap between oneself and others, the reality of one's current situation, and the tendency to compare oneself with people around them. These feelings are portrayed through the image of others already standing on the other side of a crosswalk while the artist remains stopped at a long red light. The idea comes from experiences EnTai had after coming to Tokyo, not only in music but also in everyday life, highlighting a unique perspective as an artist.
As with the previous releases in the series, the beat is produced by fla-fula. A guitar-driven instrumental layered with release-cut piano sounds enhances the emotional depth of the lyrics.
With the EP set to be released just one week later, this song stands as a fitting conclusion to the series and showcases a level of quality that hints at the future growth of Scizor a.k.a. EnTai.
An artist from Akita and based in Tokyo. With the final goal of "manga original author and rapper", he continues to explore his own style of expression. Put "like" straight into the lyrics, and spin words that stick in the listener's heart with a specific scene description and introspective perspective. Unfounded by genres and styles, freely express themselves on a variety of sounds. While building a different worldview for each song, it makes you feel a consistent core. From 2024, it moved to Tokyo and began to release in earnest. In 2025, it will continue to increase its presence with continuous song releases and live activities.
