Katsura Hori - singer-songwriter, vocalist of the acoustic duo futarinote - launches her new solo project. Currently running a crowdfunding campaign for her upcoming EP, Hori unveils the first single marking her musical rebirth - a return to her roots in soul music.
Written entirely in English, the song blends the essence of Black music and Neo-Soul with her uniquely Japanese lyrical sensibility and warm, expressive voice, creating a deeply soothing and emotional listening experience.

Hori Katsura is a japanese singer & song-writer based in Kyoto. Katsura started to sing some pop music since she was 5 years old, and around that time, she decided to become a singer. During her college years, She inspired a lot from Soul and R&B music, got started writing music and English lyrics for the band "mocafee." and, also she performed with cover bands and sang at a famous club in Kyoto. After graduating, she continued performing in and around Kyoto before moving my music base to Tokyo. In 2017, She did regular jazz-focused shows as a piano duo at the Kusatsu Music Forest International Concert Hall in Gunma-pref. And in the same year, she performed on the huge stage of nana fest 2017, which was hosted by the music app nana and it had around 1,500 people in the audience. In 2018, she released the first cover album, called "Leave Love Behind," In 2019, she formed an acoustic group called "futarinote" and started writing songs again. One of our songs, "Twilight Dew," won top honors at the 13th LALALA Nishikita Musician Contest in Hyogo-pref. As the group, they have released four original albums so far and the music has gained attention in the audio industry.
