    (From liner notes) Major Masahiro Yoshinaga JGSDF Major(Commander and Conductor). Born in Kumamoto prefecture in 1951. 1970 Joined JGSDF(Japan Ground Self Defense Force). 8th Band(Kumamoto)as Percussionist, 1974 Central Band (Tokyo), 1980 Musashino Music College, he studied conducting and composition with Mr. Yosaku Suma, the founder of the JGSDF Central Band. 1981 JGSDF Central Band Instructor (Conducting, Composition and musical theory) 1983 Officer commissioned 1984 JGSDF Northern Army Band Vice Commander(Sapporo) 1987 JGSDF 4th Band Commander(Fukuoka) 1990 Tokyo National University of the Archeology Training (Conducting, Electronic Music and Orchestral Act) 1991 JGSDF 13th Band Commander(Hiroshima) 1996 Instructor of arrangement method both wind orchestra and big band JGSDF Central Band Education Department (Tokyo) 1999 JGSDF 1st Band Commander(Tokyo) 2005 JGSDF Eastern Army Band Commander(Tokyo) Many arrangements of wind orchestra.
