Tokyo-based independent label Miobell Records has released the 20th anniversary single "Return to music" by orangenoise shortcut Kiyotaka Sugimoto, who celebrates the 20th anniversary of his CD debut this year. It will be released in the shortcut CD package, which has become a hot topic in Heisei Retro in recent years in Japan.
The number 'Return to music', popular for its fast and catchy melody and occasionally performed live, and 'Blowin'(the gloom away)', which was released exclusively on 7" in 2017, have been remastered and released on CD for the first time, and as a 20th anniversary The first single was released under the name 'orangenoise shortcut' 20 years ago, and was re-arranged and re-recorded with the current support members. The new recording features bassist Norimasa Nagata, drummer Koji Yamada and viola player Keiko Tanaka, who are also familiar to the band live, as well as guest guitarist Shimada Osamu of Swinging Popsicle on 'Blowin' (the gloom away)'. Mixed by Seiki Sato of Microstar and mastered by Hidekazu Sakai, who has also worked with YOASOBI and others in recent years. This work commemorates the 36th anniversary of the birth of the tanzaku CD. Participated in Tanzaku CD Day 2024.
「orangenoise shortcut」として2002年より都内を中心にライヴ活動を開始。 2008年の活動休止までに、Softly!レーベルより5枚のアルバムを発表。 ネオ渋谷系や「pop'n music」ファン中心に人気を集める。 現在はソロ名義で、orangenoise shortcutでのギターポップ、ネオアコ感覚を継承しつつ、独特なハイトーンヴォーカルを生かしたピアノロックなスタイルで、 ライヴ活動を続けている。2016年12月にmiobell recordsより9年ぶりとなる新作「グッバイ・レイディ」を2017年6月に7インチスプリットシングル「Blowin'(the gloom away)」をリリース。
