"SO-SO SPINS TOKYO" is a sound project that takes you on an audio journey through the 30 stations of the Yamanote Line - Tokyo's loop line, used by 9 million people daily.
This project was created by SO-SO, a world champion human beatboxer, music producer, and DJ. The album adopts a mixtape format, where the tracks are seamlessly connected to loop endlessly - just like the Yamanote Line itself.
With his go-to equipment, the BOSS RC-505MKII Loop Station, SO-SO produced each track using field recordings captured at the stations and his own beatboxing.
A truly unprecedented "TOKYO SOUND JOURNEY" born from the loop station, the loop line, and the looping groove.

  • SO-SO

    He is a human beatboxer, music producer, and DJ. He has produced and released many dance music songs including "Interview 2.0" using only beatbox sounds. He was the first Japanese to participate in the world competition "Grand Beatbox Battle 2019" in the loop station category and won the top 4, and the beatbox crew SARUKANI, which he leads, won the world championship in the same competition in 2023. He has also expanded his activities as a music producer, providing songs for numerous commercials and dramas, and in 2023, his song for Hey!

"
