A seaside road, a sepia-toned afternoon, and memories of "you" and "me" resurfacing across the passing seasons. While preserving the warmth, nostalgia, and quiet melancholy of the original, this new version reshapes the song with a more polished urban groove and a richer, more colorful sonic palette.
Maj9th chords and other extended harmonies bring a soft sense of warmth and suspension, while the rhythm stays light and understated, creating a gentle flow rather than pushing too hard. The aim was to create something nostalgic without becoming purely retro - a sound that seems to drift somewhere between the past and the present.
At the heart of the song is a quiet longing for those days when we thought we understood everything, while in truth knowing almost nothing.
