This album began with a single person someone to be written about.

Someone arrogant.

Brimming with confidence.

Claiming to be a god.

Standing at the center of the world.

Tolerating no dissent.

Forgiving no rebels.

That is who I set out to depict.

...Or so I thought.

By the time it was finished, what had emerged was not the story of just one person.

There is the one who views another as "absolute."

The one who elevates another to the status of a god.

The one who rebels against that "absolute."

The one struggling with the inability to become anyone of consequence.

The one who calls unreasonableness "youth."

The one consumed by desire.

The one seeking salvation in alcohol.

The one pressing forward, believing in the future.

The one trying to shatter the self of yesterday.

And the one left alone after losing someone precious.

Each story is entirely different.

Yet, they all intersect within the single world of *Zettai Ousei* (Absolute Monarchy).

On the surface, the songs sing of a king, of youth, of alcohol, and of love.

But hidden beneath lies another, distinct story for each.

There are landscapes invisible upon a first listen.

When you read back through the lyrics.

When you finish listening to the album in its entirety.

Your initial impression will surely shift.

*Zettai Ousei* is a work where each individual track stands on its own, yet together they paint a single, cohesive world.
