And man, it completely flopped
Felt so damn heavy, really brought me down
Up until now, I kept telling myself, "It's alright, it is what it is."
But I guess even my patience reached its limit tonight
Let me talk to you for a minute
Dammit, why? That frustration hitting me so deep
Staring at the screen while the whole city is asleep
There are billions of people living on this green earth
And I’m sitting here with single-digit views, questioning my worth
Feels like my whole personality is being denied
Like nobody cares about the tears I keep inside
Telling myself I’m useless, staring at the wall
Feeling so damn small after giving it my all
You out there... you might be breaking down over something too
Wondering why the world never notices you
So listen to this old man, standing in the rain
We are walking together through the exact same pain
Look at me, I'm an old guy, still challenging the space
Falling on my face, losing every single race
If you're smart enough to play the system, go and take the crown
But for guys like me, we get knocked down and hit the ground
We fail, we cry, we stand back up, and we try again
Age doesn't mean a thing, my friend, we fight until the end
Smart people know the shortcuts, they know how to play
Climbing up the ladder in a neat and perfect way
But I’m clumsy, I’m awkward, taking every single hit
Tripping over stones, but I ain't gonna quit
Tears, your frustration, your lonely midnight cry
This old man is tasting every drop under the sky
So don't you ever feel ashamed for falling on the floor
Getting your heart broken by a closed door
Failure is the proof that you stood up for your dream
Even when the light is just a tiny little gleam
Single-digit views... yeah, it hurts like hell tonight
But tomorrow morning... I'm gonna stand back go to fight
Even with single-digit views
Morning will come for you and me
We might be awkward, but let's stand back up again
Thank you for listening
Peace
