So many lights
I don't know which one is mine
It's time to say goodbye to you
But I won't shed a tear
‘Cause I know it's not the end
So many ways
No one knows which one is mine
It's time to say goodbye to you
It's time to part our ways
Though we know that life goes on
It's time to say goodbye to you
But I won't shed a tear
‘Cause I know it's not the end
It's time to say goodbye to you
It's time to part our ways
Though we know that life goes on

After returning from France at the end of 2024, Juri Mita began her professional music career in 2025, focusing on live performances and sharing musical ideas and sketches on Instagram. She has been gaining attention as a vocalist who oversees every aspect of her music, including lyrics, composition, arrangement, and DTM production.
Her debut EP Voice, previously available exclusively at live venues from the summer of the same year, is now officially released on streaming platforms. The EP features support from Hibiki Komuro (piano), Shunsuke Kimura (bass), and Shota Kowashi (drums).
Her musical style is grounded in jazz and classical music, blended with a uniquely Japanese city pop sensibility. The three-track EP delivers refined arrangements alongside catchy, memorable melodies that stay with the listener.
In January 2026, Juri launches murmur, a series of solo piano-and-vocal pieces scheduled for monthly releases over twelve consecutive months.
Artist Profile
Juri Mita
Japanese-Korean singer/songwriter Juri Mita was born in South Korea. She spent her childhood moving across Japan due to her father's job, while developing a deep connection with classical music from an early age. She graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music, majoring in violin. During that time, she joined a band club at the University of Tokyo, where she began performing as a vocalist. Around this period, she discovered artists such as Erykah Badu, Corinne Bailey Rae, Gretchen Parlato, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Esperanza Spalding, all of whom would go on to profoundly influence her musical identity. For nearly a decade, she worked as a writer and editor, traveling the world through her job. Yet her desire to pursue music continued to grow, leading her to study abroad in Paris in 2023. Guided by Lou Tavano, she immersed herself in the local jazz scene and dedicated herself to exploring the depth of her voice and musical expression. After returning to Japan, Juri began focusing on live performances in 2025, collaborating with talented musicians at intimate venues across Tokyo. In August, she released her debut EP "Voice". Alongside her live activities, the music she shares on Instagram has also been drawing growing attention. In 2026, she launches "murmur", a year-long project consisting of twelve consecutive monthly releases.
