All 12 songs follow one story: a boy named Kai, his companion Bird, and a girl named Mina he meets by the sea. Grade-7 grammar - be-verbs, general verbs, present progressive, the modal "can" - unfolds naturally through their journey.
Track 13, "Sentanbun (Movement 1)," is a bonus track that packs all 594 words of the first-year vocabulary list into a single six-minute song. Across all three grades, the trilogy covers Japan's full 1,486-word junior-high vocabulary in about 19 minutes total.
