Iwate-ken Nocturne (English ver.)
Megumi Kanno
The lyrics were written by Megumi Kanno, a singer from Kamaishi City, Iwate Prefecture, to the erhu song "Iwate-ken Nocturne" by world-renowned erhu musician, composer and erhu player Ray Wong.
The song was written by Ray Wong after he visited Iwate Prefecture following the 11 Mar 2011 earthquake and mourned the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Megumi Kanno, who is studying erhu, had an encounter with this wonderful song called 'Iwate-ken Nocturne' and was invited to write the lyrics and sing the song.
Wishing for the recovery of my hometown.

The English version of the lyrics was written by Christelle Ciari, Claude Ciari's eldest daughter!
Iwate Yakyoku is completed with a picturesque world view by Koichi Shibata, a composer and arranger who has provided songs for AKB48, Yokohama DeNA Bay Stars and other organisations outside Japan.
