Ryunoshin Saiki's first solo single in almost a year and four months, Submarine (Murasaki), is an expansion of his personal musical world once again, as a member of the Tokyo-based three-piece rap group KOCHIKESA.
The title Submarine (Murasaki) expresses the serenity of diving into the deep sea and the strong will to keep seeking the light in the darkness. The color murasaki symbolizes complex emotions such as deep contemplation, passion, and occasional fragility, and the music and lyrics work together to create a unique worldview.
Unlike the energetic raps of KOCHIKESA, Ryunoshin Saiki's solo work is marked by a subtlety that brings us closer to his inner self. The emotional ups and downs that emerge in his lyrics and the simple yet resonant sound that supports them leave a strong impression on the listener.
