WITHDOM official cover release songs, which offer a glimpse of new charms with a different approach from the original songs while utilizing the charm of the original songs, are released as the long-awaited first official cover album "Somesing else" !

The WITHDOM YouTube Channel has received more than 2.7 million views, and among them, the WITHDOM covers, which are now available to the public, are a collection of classic songs regardless of genre or age, with chorus work, vocal changes, remixes with rap, and other elements that are only possible with the vocal group's charm. Many of the videos have been viewed more than 100,000 times.

In 2020, they started "WITHDOMOVIE," a collection of captivating covers with songs and videos, and thier cover of Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee" was featured in an Instagram story by Boyz II Men members and producer Jam, who praised thier singing ability.

The high quality of the cover, including vocal changes by the three vocalists SMOOTH, ROY, and Ryo, which is unique to the vocal group, the four-voice chorus work with rapper and chorus member SHVNYA, and the remix with SHVNYA's rap, was recognized, and from 2021 the official Digital release of the song as an official cover song with permission to release the song started in 2021.

The first official cover "A HAPPY NEW YEAR," a song by Yumi Matsutoya popular both in Japan and abroad, released on January 1, 2021. After that, a series of classic songs that are not bound by genre or age, such as King Gnu's "Hakujitsu" and Original Love's "Seppun(Kiss)," were released one after another.

WITHDOM's cover releases of YOASOBI's "Gunjo" released in November 2021 and Tatsuro Yamashita's "RIDE ON TIME" released in July 2022 have become the talk of the town, with news coverage on websites in over a dozen foreign countries, and seventh official cover song released on June 14 Utada Hikaru's classic "First Love" was selected for the official playlist on the streaming site.

This official cover album "Somesing else" contains a total of eight songs, including songs from various genres, eras, and sounds up to the seventh official cover series, as well as "Ai" by Motohiro Hata, the first official cover Vol. 8 to be released on the album.

The meaning of the title "Something else" is to express the meaning of "Something else" as "something else" or "something exceptionally wonderful" by changing "thing" to "sing" in the song. It is a title coined by WITHDOM, with the meaning of "an exceptionally wonderful song" added after respecting the original song.

The album is a wide range of songs, from the classic songs of yesteryear to the latest, but through the filter of "WITHDOM songs," you can feel the appeal of various musical elements such as genres, ages, and sounds, as well as the ups and downs of the music as a whole.

Featuring three vocalists and one rapper/chorus member, the group is highly acclaimed for their versatile vocal work and exceptional singing ability. Their dynamic approach seamlessly transitions between vocal leads, rap, and intricate harmonies across a wide range of genres, from emotional ballads to high-energy tracks. Demonstrating their vocal prowess, they were selected to perform the national anthem at the opening ceremonies of Japan's NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) official games for two consecutive years. Their music has also received high praise, with songs like "Kotonoha," "Goodbye," "Get Down," and "YULA YULA" featured as commercial image songs, campaign tracks, and news show weather themes. They co-wrote the track "Stay Gold" with songwriter and producer Kaz Kuwamura, who was appointed as a Voting Member of The Recording Academy (Grammy Awards) in July 2026. Kaz Kuwamura has crafted music for numerous renowned Japanese artists as well as international acts, including K-pop group ITZY, Thailand's guncharlie, and a collaboration between Indian artists Arjun Kanungo and MINA. Furthermore, the group performed on a major Japanese TV music program with "All my life," an R&B ballad composed and vocal-produced by Kaoru Kurosawa of The Gospellers, a pioneering Japanese vocal group. Their album Algorhtyhm, released on May 27, 2025, achieved their first-ever No. 1 spot on the Daily CD Album Rankings. Their cover video of "On Bended Knee" earned praise from members of Boyz II Men and legendary production duo Jam & Lewis, who shared it globally on Instagram. Their official cover releases-YOASOBI's "Gunjo" and Tatsuro Yamashita's "RIDE ON TIME"-were featured in online news outlets across more than ten countries, including Indonesia and Thailand. Notably, "RIDE ON TIME (Cover)" and their original track "Trippin' on you" reached No. 2 on the weekly J-POP chart on Indonesia's radio station DJFM, drawing significant international attention. Active in international collaborations, they released their first global project, "KOE (feat. SIN)," on November 3, 2025, featuring SIN (Singular), a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter from Thailand. Their second international collaboration, "Stand by me," featuring Dhira Bongs-an Indonesian female R&B singer-songwriter and producer nominated for Best Contemporary R&B Solo Artist at the 2023 AMI Awards-is scheduled for release on September 11, 2026. With their captivating tracks, powerful vocals, and impressive stage performances, they are gaining strong momentum as a next-generation vocal group to watch.
