Coração em Festa, the official theme song for 2026, was produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Sancha Latin Festival, held in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. With its striking refrain, which takes its name from the Sharenade Shopping Street on Chazawa dori the gateway to Setagaya the song vividly captures the festive atmosphere that envelops the neighbourhood.
The story unfolds from the perspectives of festival goers in the first verse and the performers of the samba teams colouring the parade in the second verse, expressing the essence of samba and carnival letting go of the hustle and bustle of daily life and ones sorrows to surrender oneself to music and dance.
Beginning with a striking intro on the cabacinho, this exhilarating track featuring an authentic samba sound woven from the samba signature percussion instruments the pandeiro, tantan, seven string guitar and surdo unites the town and its people in a shared sense of elation.

Balança mas não cai is a Japanese samba and pagode duo formed in 1992 by two university friends united by their passion for Brazilian music. Over the past three decades, they have released five full-length albums and performed throughout Japan, establishing themselves as one of the country most respected and influential samba acts. Their musicianship has earned recognition not only in Japan but also in Brazil. Their albums feature guest appearances by Zeca Pagodinho, Fundo de Quintal, Beth Carvalho, Alcione, Arlindo Cruz, and Sombrinha legendary figures in the world of Brazilian samba. In 2025, they were invited to appear as special guests on Zeca Pagodinho stage at Expo 2025 Osaka, performing alongside one of Brazil most celebrated samba artists. What truly sets Balança mas não cai apart is their ability to create original samba in Japanese without compromising the spirit, authenticity, and tradition of the music. Deeply rooted in the essence of samba while expressing a uniquely Japanese artistic sensibility, they have forged a musical style that bridges two cultures.
