Andante of the Ticket Book is a mid tempo city pop track that portrays a relationship growing closer even as the book of coupon tickets grows thinner with every visit.
A transfer gate in Shimokitazawa, a finger tracing a single perforated line, one thin ticket torn away, clocks lined up in a secondhand shop, and a ticket window passed by without stopping create a quiet evening scene where intimacy and its own limit advance through the very same motion.

Performed by the fictional AI singer Akemi, the song captures the emotions of adulthood that wishes to keep going yet avoids buying a new book, because a fresh book would mean giving the relationship a name, choosing instead to decide the count for herself without ever saying let us continue.
Inspired by the late 1970s to early 1980s Japanese new music and city pop, the track reimagines that era urban lyricism through images of city dusk, station gates and train windows, and the distance of a relationship with no name.

When she tears the second to last ticket, the thinness of the book reaches her fingertips, and her body learns the contradiction that the closer she comes, the fewer times remain.
Without ever saying that she may come again, she leaves the very last ticket uncut and returns it to the bottom of her wallet, quietly choosing the closeness and the pause that comes with it.
Produced by nanayon music.
