Yoake no BOOBY'S will release their first EP, "Yorubudo," on October 15th.
The lyrics, composition, and artwork are by vocalist Kana Alternative, with arrangement, production, and recording by Sincil, drums by Tsukino (who also played on "Sports Newspaper"), mixing and drum recording by Amimoto Tomoya, and mastering by Ueda Naofumi.
This album, which can be considered their calling card, is themed around "bedroom towns at night" and features a wide variety of tracks, each with their own unique twist.
In addition to the singles they've been actively releasing to date, the album includes the opening track "Rock 'n' Roll Heart," an homage to kodoku no torii; the lead track "Lemon Pharmacy," which has a somewhat fairy-tale-like worldview; "Kage Tsuki Mau Yoru ni," which combines 2000s Japanese rock with strings and spoken word; "Gurono," which features unusual key changes and changing rhythm patterns; and the EP's closing track, "Seiden Yoru," which is perfect as background music for sleep.
It's packed with nerdy, cool, and comical songs.
It's a satisfying EP that's alternative, rock, and pop.
Formed in 2024, fully launched in 2025. With singer-songwriter Sincil as producer, the band is active in the suburbs of the Tokyo metropolitan area. Vocalist Kana Alternative is responsible for songwriting, composition, and artwork. His distorted, rugged, and purest of all, voice is like that of a boy going through puberty. Wrapping his petite frame in a school uniform, he shouts out literature with pride as a "latecomer." While their cry is still self-centered for now, it will not be long before it reaches outcasts across the country. Shout out, nerdy boys and girls. And follow us.
