Inspired by The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, one of Japan's oldest and most beloved legends, KAGUYAHIME: The Moon Princess is an ambitious progressive rock opera that reimagines the timeless story through an epic musical journey.
Presented by Dreamphonic Ongekidan - Non-Verbal Music Communication, this 18-track concept album follows the life, trials, sorrow, and ultimate destiny of Princess Kaguya, from her mysterious appearance within a glowing bamboo stalk to her return to the Moon.
At the heart of this work lies a unique artistic vision: vocals performed entirely in an original, non-verbal language. Free from the boundaries of any spoken tongue, the human voice becomes a pure instrument of emotion, allowing listeners from all cultures and backgrounds to experience the story through sound alone.
Blending symphonic grandeur, progressive rock complexity, cinematic orchestration, and ethereal choral textures, the album unfolds like a musical epic. Each composition serves as a chapter in a larger narrative, guiding the listener through the legendary quests of the five suitors, the Emperor's devotion, Kaguya's sorrowful farewell, and her celestial homecoming.

Tatsuya Tsubono Tatsuya Tsubono is a composer and lyricist who began his professional career while studying at a music college. After graduation, he expanded his work across various fields including film and television scoring, songwriting for artists-including a globally successful idol song-and creating royalty-free background music. Specializing in instrumental music that enhances the emotional and visual storytelling of a project, his style ranges from orchestral and piano-based compositions to EDM and easy listening. He is known for delivering high-quality music that faithfully captures the atmosphere and intent of each scene. Tsubono currently operates two independent music labels: MusicFountain, which provides high-quality royalty-free BGM, and Fit Beat Records, a label dedicated to music for fitness and wellness. Through his work, he aims to move both body and soul with sound, offering music that supports creators of all scales--from individuals to large companies.
