「島」は日本の琉球諸島や東南アジアの島嶼地方などに残る民俗文化・民族音楽にインスパイアされ、イニシエーションとしての祭祀を楽曲を通じて現代に復権することを試みた意欲作です。
現代的なエレクトロニカの技法と肉体的なドラムビート・パーカッション、呪術的なリフレインのボーカルラインにより、時空間の混ざり合う全く新しい聴取体験をもたらします。
「島」はLinen Frisco初となるフルアルバム「folklore」(2026年中発表予定）からのシングルカットとなり、アルバム全体のテーマを鮮烈に提示するシングルです。

Artist Profile

Linen Frisco
We are a four-piece band from Kobe, formed in April 2023. At the core of our practice is the expansion of commonly accepted worldviews and aesthetics. Drawing from a wide range of influences including Black music, ambient, and indie rock, we reconstruct these elements into a genre-defying sound. Our second EP "natura," released in February 2025, uses nature as a medium to explore universal and essential purity. Our upcoming single "Shima," scheduled for release in April 2026, is inspired by the folk culture and traditional music of Japan's Ryukyu Islands. Through this work, we attempt to revive ritualistic practices as a form of initiation within a contemporary context. In our live performances, we collaborate with VJ Keiji Matsuoka, who creates real-time liquid painting visuals. Together, we create an immersive experience that transcends recorded sound and presents live performance as a deeply lived and visceral event.
