Moras

Kenta Tanaka releases his new EP, "Moras". Centered around the concept of "delay" - *mora* meaning "delay" in Latin - the EP is an ambitious exploration of his current artistic practice, built through layers of processed and edited guitar that move fluidly between ambient, jazz, and drone.

The EP features Shoei Ikeda, saxophonist and flutist of Maya Ongaku. Of particular note is "Lullaby," where Ikeda's jazz saxophone intertwines with Tanaka's delicate ambient guitar, creating a subtle dialogue between texture, space, and melody.

Based between Brussels and Tokyo, Kenta Tanaka has explored the possibilities of sound and music internationally through exhibitions of sound art, performances, and collaborations, including his participation in Shuta Hasunuma Full Philharmonic Orchestra. With "Moras", he turns his attention to the acoustic worlds that emerge when knowledge and experience are "delayed," reverberating through memory, time, and space.

Mastered by Chihei Hatakeyama, the EP features an analog-inspired sound design that naturally blends into everyday spaces, inviting listeners into a nostalgic, dreamlike state.
