Yohei Nishi, a Fukuoka-based bandman/music composer, is a talented musician who has produced numerous songs and provided songs to other artists. He is a former member of the happy rock band Black1Neck, which debuted as the number one band in Fukuoka, and is currently a member of the pop band Balconny, where he plays bass and writes most of the songs. In 2025, under the solo name Westman8, he began full-scale music production and distribution using AI. His high-quality pop music, which combines nostalgia and newness, has been highly praised by industry insiders. As Balconny's band activities have been scaled down since the COVID-19 pandemic, his multifaceted activities have attracted attention as the individual members' activities have expanded.
