Ryuichiro Akamatsu's seventh digital single is a powerful reflection on war, loss, and hope.
The song traces its origins back to Akamatsu's visits to the Himeyuri Peace Museum in Okinawa and the Chiran Peace Museum in Kagoshima. Those experiences left him with a deep, simmering sense of anger-a word he chooses carefully. Years later, while working on a slow-burning album project, a demo emerged from that emotion.
By early 2022, the song was taking shape. But just as he began recording, Russia invaded Ukraine. Conversations in the studio kept circling back to the war, and Akamatsu found himself asking: Could this anger be transformed into a prayer? He rewrote the lyrics, distilling his message into a single, powerful image-a lone dandelion blooming from the earth, embodying the hope for peace and an end to war.
The vocals? Captured in a single take. This is not just a song; it's a raw, heartfelt statement.
