Asunaro Hakuchuumu was formed in March 2019 by vocalist/guitarist Kokyu Sakaguchi, bassist Shiwomi, and guitarist/chorus Yoppy. Based in Osaka and Tokyo, the band quickly began performing live, releasing their first single "Koi, Koi, Koi" in February 2020. In July of the same year, drummer Sue joined, completing the lineup and further shaping their sound.
Since then, the band has released a string of digital singles, including "Ushiro no Shoumen Daare" and "Sumo-ru Tooku" (2022), as well as "Jinrui no Sanbika", "Kindan Shoujo", "Yonchoume no Yuutsu", "Cafeteria", and "Akuma ni Zukkyun" (2023). In late 2024, bassist Shiwomi departed, but the band pressed forward, releasing "Busu mo Kirei mo Itsuka wa Minna Tsuchi no Naka" in 2025 through EVOL RECORDS. That summer, they held release shows at DaisyBar (Shimokitazawa) and Pangea (Shinsaibashi), followed by another release event, "Mahou Shoujo no Benkyou-beya", at Shinjuku Marble and Fukushima 2nd LINE later in the year.
Musically, Asunaro Hakuchuumu blends alternative rock and post-emo with a distinctly Japanese sensibility. Their songs combine literary lyricism with raw emotional force, balancing fragility and intensity in a way that evokes the dreamlike state of a "hakuchuumu" (daydream). On stage, the band delivers an unfiltered energy that resonates deeply with audiences, making every performance a vivid, fleeting experience.
Asunaro Hakuchuumu continues to capture the urgency of "the present moment" through music-burning brightly, even as time rushes forward.
