Recovered from the early archives of the Spectral Institute of Science, this debut transmission from Velvet Bloom documents two rare psychedelic recordings originally traced to London, 1968.

White Line and Silver Signal capture a fragile collision of spectral interference, cosmic perception, and hallucinatory British underground sound.

Issued by Village Styles as SIS Archive No.001, these recordings mark the first public release from the Institute's recovered observation series.

Artist Profile

  • Spectral Institute of Science

Spectral Institute of Science(SIS) Spectral Institute of Science is an independent archival collective dedicated to recovering and publishing lost psychedelic transmissions documented between 1967 and 1972. Operating through recovered magnetic recordings, classified field observations, and spectral anomalies, SIS presents works attributed to multiple observation units including Velvet Bloom, The Spectrals, Moon Flowers, and Colour Syndrome. Founded under Village Styles, the Institute explores the unstable intersection of sound, vibration, perception, and altered states through recovered British and transatlantic psychedelic documents. Research in Sound Vibration Perception Archive access ongoing.
