The third album by Soulbreed led by Seiki Yukimoto, a trumpeter who was active in the Don Cherry Band in NY in the 80's. It features a hard fusion sound featuring NANIWA EXPRESS' powerful rhythm section, but this album contains many mellow and funky songs while maintaining its strength.
Sound that emphasizes the edge of the instrument is very impressive. Is it the purpose of complementing the soft tone of the quena? This tendency is especially strong with drums. There must be something
to be said about mixing and expression.
While maintaining the fleshy feel of the drums, the emphasized
attack accompanies a sense of tension. Recording without turbidity in Tutti is splendid.
